  • ASSOCIATION EPHEMERIDES
An ephemeris (from the Greek ἐφημερίς, diary, journal) gives the position of naturally ocurring astronomical objects such as the Moon, the Sun and comets, as well as artificial satellites in the sky at a given time
  • SUPERNOVA
A supernova is a transient astronomical event that occurs during the last stellar evolutionary stage of a star's life. Either a massive star or a white dwarf, whose destruction is marked by one final, titanic explosion. From the Earth this explosion is perceived as a new star!
  • Interstellar stardust
It is a major part of the cosmic dust. It is made by stars having reached the "red giant" phase of their evolution.
  • The Helix Nebula
Cosmic star, it is often photographed by amateurs for its bright colours and its resemblance with a gigantic eye open to the cosmos. Discovered during the 18th century, it is located 650 light years away within the Aquarius Constellation.
