  • Claudie Haignéré is a scientist, former doctor specialised in aeronautic medicine, and a French Astronaut. Up until today she is the first and only French woman that went to space. To grow scientific callings, especially for women, is part of our ambitions. We thought that it would be a symbol to unravel this program through the name of the first French astronaut that inspires so many women : CLAUDIE

  • TO WHO ?
The Claudie program was created for young women between the age of 8 to 18 . Numerous studies have shown that stereotypes linked to gender are internalised as soon as the age of 6. Ephemerides wants to limit this process, promotes science to these girls and destroy cliché and bias that condition girls in their professional choices.
    WHY ?
Even though, half of scientific pathways students are female, after graduation this number tends to drop in fundamental and applied sciences such as mathematics ans physics. We hope to work early on with these girls and help them finding their place within the scientific and technologic area. Noticing that numerous factors will intend to let them out.
    HOW ?
Our association Ephemerides is dedicated to make these girls organise and participate to numerous scientific activities and lead different working groups. To inspire her, we make them meet women already working within the scientific or technologic area. We want to empower young women and help them reach their chosen professional vocation.
